About This Course

This course explores practical applications of AI and machine learning within engineering design contexts. Students examine how these technologies facilitate product creation and solve engineering challenges. Key elements include advanced machine learning and optimization strategy implementation, a term project applying AI techniques to complex problems, hands-on exercises addressing domain-specific engineering issues including robotics, aircraft structures, and metamaterials, and student-led research paper discussions.
